I recently produced a music video for Americana artist Tokyo Rosenthal for his song “The Cold War.” I shot all of the footage of Tokyo and his accordion player with Fuji and Nikon DSLR cameras. Most of the video was created in the editing room, using archival images of US Cold War propaganda from the 1950’s. The video means to give a light-hearted look at the war that never happened and the fears and odd rituals, such as Duck and Cover, that accompanied it. This was my first music video, and I was actually very pleased with the results. Check out the video, which is embedded above, and take a look at Tokyo’s YouTube channel while you are at it. Thanks to Geo Desocio for use of his cameras.
